The agriturismo is strategically located on a hill in the centre of Tuscany. It is situated in the small village of Alica, where you can almost breathe the history and culture and where you can enjoy the silence of Tuscany. From the top of the hill, you can see a panorama of the distinctive landscape from Pisa to Volterra, from the sea to the mountains. The apartments of the village offer the possibility to accommodate small groups, too.

The farm offers two accommodation possibilities. On the one hand, there are four finely renovated holiday apartments in a house dating from the 16th Century with many original features. On the other hand, guests also have the opportunity to stay in a residence, an old rectory dating from the 12th Century. This is about 100 metres away from the first building.

The estate has a large garden with a pool (6x13, 50; open from May to September) and sun terrace. Additionally, there is a spacious and bright conference room for meetings or meals in larger groups. Meetings of up to 30 people can be organised. A buffet can also be provided on the adjoining terrace (upon request). The terrace is equipped with garden furniture and sunshades.

On the terraces, in the swimming pool or even in the olive grove, you can enjoy relaxing, read a book, drink the wine produced here, or just laze around. Simply experience a nice, comfortable holiday in Alica.

The farm produces wine and olive oil. The wine is particularly prized as it comes from a native, rare variety of grape. On request, you can participate in sampling and tasting of own products.

The nearest shops (supermarket, pharmacy, café/ice cream stand etc.) are about 1.5km away. It is 10km to a swimming lake (with beach service) and the sea is 35km away. A special feature of this area are the five trekking routes (easy to intermediate), guaranteeing wonderful nature experiences. One of them starts near the accommodation. From Alica, it is a little more than 30 minutes to the most well-known towns such as Pisa, San Gimignano, Lucca, Volterra, the sea, the mountains, thermal spas and the golf courses dotted about the region.

The apartment is located in a period residence, divided into 4 apartments, in a hilly village, close to the main art cities of Tuscany. The easily accessible beach is 35 km away, the lake with an equipped beach 10 km away.Short the distance from yhe main cities of the Region: Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, Siena, Firenze.The apartment, on two floors, located on the second floor of the house, has an area of 90 square meters, has a kitchen, a large living room with a double sofa bed and a bathroom, while on the upper floor there are two air-conditioned double bedrooms and a second bathroom.The 2 bedrooms have air conditioning. In the apartments there is a meter dedicated to the air conditioner only and the guest can check consumption-Hilly area, near suggestive trekking routes on the hills of olive groves. The village where the pharmacy, bar and restaurant are located is 1.5 km away.

The kitchen is equipped with a 4-burner stove, dishwasher, kettle, microwave oven, cutlery, cups, plates, glasses for 6 people. The 2 bedrooms have air conditioning. Both the heating and the air conditioners have a dedicated meter.

A corner of the communal terrace with table, umbrella and chairs is reserved for this apartment.

    “Het appartement was prima verzorgd en de gastheer en zijn vrouw ontzettend vriendelijk. Het zwembad was geweldig. De foto’s, suggereerden echter dat er een terrasje bij het appartement aanwezig was, maar in werkelijkheid lag ons appartement 3 hoog zonder buiten verblijf. Het was daar ondanks de airco (die je fors bij moet betalen) veel te heet. Let dus goed op, welk appartement je boekt, want wij zijn eerder vertrokken door deze deceptie.”

    “Das Objekt hat uns sehr gut gefallen!!! Der einzige Nachteil war, dass sich unsere Wohnung ganz oben befand und deswegen das Essen im Freien flach fiel.”

    La descrizione dell'alloggio indica chiaramente che è posizionato al secondo piano, dove si trovano la cucina ed il salotto ed 1 dei 2 bagni, mentre al piano superiore ci sono le 2 camere ed il secondo bagno. Le foto dell'esterno, si riferiscono alla terrazza comune dove si trovano sedie, tavoli ed ombrelloni riservate agli appartamenti.
    Non era certo nostra intenzione ingannare qualcuno, con foto che a noi sembrano interpretabili correttamente, ma evidentemente ci siamo sbagliati e rimiederemo.
    L'aria condizionata, pagata a consumo, (1 Eur/kwh)ha un costo per noi, piu' elevato di quanto poi paga l'ospite. Facciamo questo per indurre l'ospite ad evitare, per quanto possibile, sprechi e tenere il piu' basso possibile il prezzo dell'alloggio. Il caso tipico è quello di lasciare l'aria condizionata in funzione e le finestre aperte, con temperature esterne elevatissime.
    In aggiunta all'A/C ci sono ventilatori, con uso incluso nel prezzo dell'appartamento, che consentono di avere sufficiente refrigerio,
    perlomeno per molte persone, durante la notte, senza costi aggiuntivi.
    Ci dispiace davvero molto di non essere stati completamente all'altezza delle vostre aspettattive. Scusateci.”
