If you're in the mood for an interesting day trip, historic Siena is just under an hour away. Here, stroll through the famous Piazza del Campo and visit the important Gothic cathedral. Wonderful Florence, a Renaissance gem, can be reached in under a 90-minute drive. The entire old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
