Your holidays in an authentic alpine chalet built in 1911. Homecoming and healing facing one of the best views of the Alps. The chalet was recently renovated in the traditional style. It strikes the perfect balance between modern amenities and simplicity. A snug Alpine hideaway to get away from it all!
Volovron : a unique belvedere on the upper Hérens Valley
The Eagle’s nest Mountain cabin (1800m/5’800 ft) is situated above Evolène, on a sunny terrace with a superb view of the mountain panorama of the upper Val d’Hérens : Dent d’Hérens 4’171m, Dent Blanche 4’347m, Mont Collon, pigne d’Arolla, Dents de Veisivi, etc… A road accessible to vehicles affords easy access to the vicinity of the chalet which however is completely secluded.

– « Peyo » : beautiful traditional living room with authentic Evolène-stone stove , 6 seater table , sofa and armchair
– 2 small bedrooms with 4 sleeps : 2 beds 90*200 et 1 bed 160*200

– terrace with view on the valley

Back to nature, slow life and “digital detox” 

Light is produced with solar energy. Due to the altitude and isolation, access is only guaranteed from April to November

20% of the rental price if cancellation is made up to the 64th day prior to arrival
50% of the rental price if cancellation is made up to the 43rd day prior to arrival
80% of the rental price if cancellation is made up to the 2nd day prior to arrival
100% of the rental price if cancellation is made on the day of arrival
The cancellation costs amount to at least EUR 100.

    “Positiv: Unglaublich tolle Aussichtslage Negativ: Nicht allzu viel Gepäck mitnehmen (keine Rollkoffer) !
    Weg zum Maiensäss über steilen Wanderweg.”

    “Die Küche beinhaltet an Ausstattung alles, was man auf einer Berghütte benötigt. Mit Strom sollte bei Regentagen sparsam umgegangen werden. Das Chalet bietet eine (1 !) 230V Steckdose (bspw. zum Aufladen von Akkus für einen digitalen Fotoapparat). Positiv: Begrüßung, Freundlichkeit, Entgegenkommen beim Transport des Reisegepäcks zum Chalet, Apéro zur Begrüßung, vorgeheiztes Chalet Negativ: Der Fußweg vom Parkplatz zum Chalet ist mit 100m angegeben. Es sind 180m und dabei ca. 40 Höhenmeter zu überwinden. Das sollte man beim Gepäck berücksichtigen. Beste Reisezeit: Summer, autumn - Bei Schnee (wie wir erlebten, auch mal Mitte Mai möglich...) darf man weder zum Chalet in 1.800m hinauf, noch hinunter ins Tal fahren. Das ist nicht nur verboten, sondern auch riskant. Empfehlung: Couples - Zwei kleine Schlafzimmer 1 x 2 Betten á 90x200 und 1 x 1 Bett á 160x200.”
