Lovely Stone House with Own Pool in Quiet Village

This is a luxury self-contained stone house in traditional Istrian style. The house, completed in 2006, has its own walled garden with private swimming pool (8 x 4 metres). It is tastefully equipped with modern kitchen and traditional Istrian style solid wood furniture. The house has a spacious & shady south facing ground floor terrace with barbecue as well as a sunny poolside patio for alfresco eating. There is also a beautiful traditional Istrian open hearth in the living room. Modern central heating also on hand for winter rentals. The shady car port has space for 2 cars but parking on the street is also no problem. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with shower and WC. The upstairs bathrooms are en-suite. In case you need to work, the master bedroom also has a comfortable desk and high speed internet access for your laptop. The two master bedrooms are simply and tastefully furnished with solid dark wood furniture in the traditional styles of the region. There is lots of storage space in the upstairs bedrooms as both have walk-in storage space. The kids' room sleeps a maximum of 4 adults or older children (2 single bunk beds plus a small double sofa bed). There is also a fold-away cot suitable for a baby or young child up to three years old. Located at the quiet edge of the small village of Vabriga, the house is 10 minutes walk from the sea. All nearby beaches are of pebble and stone with crystal clear waters. Boat hire is also available nearby. Vabriga & especially the nearby twin village of Tar offer numerous restaurants and local shops and you are 10 minutes by car from the lively town of Porec. The attractive coastal towns of Porec and Visnjan are also reached in minutes by car. Inland you will find vineyards, olive groves (and some say the best olive oil in the world) as well as quite villages in the Istrian countryside. The historic Venetian town of Rovijn and Pula with its Roman amphitheatre are also only short drives away along the modern road opened in 2005. You can also make day trip excursions to Triest (by road) and Venice (by high speed ferry from Porec) or explore truffle and wine country beyond picturesque Groznjan in the hills along the border with Slovenia. If you prefer the seaside, Lanterna, the largest resort on the coast of Croatia is only 2 km away. Here you can enjoy organized water-sports as well as tennis or simply swim in the crystal clear water on this side of the Adriatic.

    “Das Ferienhaus war sehr schön und sehr gepflegt. Die das Grundstück umgebende Mauer macht das Ferienhaus bzw. das Grundstück sehr heimelig und es ist daher nicht so einsehbar. Die Lage ist ebenso gut, da sich das Haus in letzter Reihe
    befindet. Positiv: Gepflegter Zustand; perfekte Sauberkeit; gepflegter Garten und Pool; Grundstück nur begrenzt einsehbar. Negativ: --- Beste Reisezeit: Spring, summer, autumn - Wir waren im Sommer für zwei Wochen da. War optimal für uns. Gute Zeit für einen Aufenthalt ist meiner Meinung nach auch das Frühjahr und der Herbst, wenn man gerne Fahrrad bzw. Mountainbike fährt - sehr gute Verhältnisse. Umgebung: Supermarket, restaurant - Die Gastronomie in der Umgebung ist hervorragend. Vor allem auch im ca. 7 - 8 km entfernten Novigrad gibt es einige sehr gute Lokale. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut.”
