Sejerslev Strand is located on the north side of the island of Mors. The countryside is varied, with soft moraine hills, beech woods, pockets of moorland, flat open vistas and dramatic moraine cliffs rising above the sea. Dark ribbons of volcanic ash imprinted on the tall cliffs bear witness to the dramatic geological history of the island. The 61 m tall Hanklit is the best known moraine formation, and the nearby Moraine Museum has an impressive collection of fossils found in the area. The road across Feggesund leads to Vejlerne, the largest bird sanctuary in northern Europe. From the Bygholm Dam you can observe the fascinating birdlife using binoculars. Further south, Højriis Castle stages 'living history' displays and organises special exhibitions. In the northern part of the hills of Legind Bjerge you will find Jesperhus Flowerpark, home to Scandinavian's largest floral displays using more than ½ million plants. In addition to these spectacularly colourful displays, the park has an aviary, a tropical fish aquarium and a hothouse where over 1000 butterflies flutter among the tropical plants.
