    “Montmartin-sur-mer ist eine typische Kleinstadt innerhalb der Normandie. Der Ort verfügt über einen Supermarkt (Carrefour) inkl. Tankstelle, einen Fischladen sowie eine Bäckerei. Nach Granville sind es ca. 25 km, nach Coutances sind es ca. 10 km. Der Mont Saint Michele liegt ca. 85 km südlich, die Landungsstrände der Alliierten ca. 80 km Nord-Östlich. Von Granville kann man Bootstouren nach Jersey buchen (rund 30 Euro/Person). Montmartin-sur -mer würden wir daher als Ausgangspunkt von Tagestouren empfehlen, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind vor Ort. Im Ort selbst ist wenig los, trotz der Urlaubs-Hauptsaison waren wir z. T. alleine am Strand. Wenn man also dem Alltagsstress entgehen will ist man hier genau richtig - allerdings könnte es für Jugendliche langweilig werden. Bei Ebbe kann man Kilometerweit auf das Watt wandern - für Kinder optimal. Allerdings wird das Watt im Nord-Westen durch die Flussmündung der "Sienne" begrenzt, welche nicht passiert werden kann.”
